The interrelationship between emotional intelligence of leaders and employee engagement, which is prevalent in modern enterprises, is empirically investigated, and the multiple mediating effects of distributive fairness, procedural fairness, and interactional fairness are examined. Using structural equation modeling, the empirical analysis of questionnaire data shows that emotional regulation and others' emotional evaluation can have a significant positive effect on employee engagement, and organizational fairness can play an effective mediating role between leader emotional intelligence and employee engagement. The higher the leader's emotional intelligence, the higher the employee's engagement; the higher the sense of organizational fairness, the higher the influence of the leader's emotional intelligence on the employee's engagement.
